This is the fifth week since we arrived at New Haven on June, 29th,
2014. As there is only one week before we leave Yale University, we are
becoming excessively sensitive. On the one hand, we are homesick and miss our
family members so much, some even could not control their tears and are eager
to go back home; on the other hand, we have a strong feeling that we will miss
our instructors, Siggy, Carrie and the teachers in Yale so much because we have
learned a lot from them. Thus, we want to stay here to share our happiness and
make our friendship to last forever. What a dilemma: to stay or to leave?
Sometimes human beings are complicated creatures with so contradictory
emotions: happiness, sorrow, eagerness, regrets will tangle together at the
same time. When people try to say goodbye, they are reluctant to part with each
other. Tears, laughter and smile take turns to appear on their face. “It was hard to
meet you and then bid farewell.” A line
written by LI Shangyin, a great poet of Tang dynasty, can well reveal my
feeling at the approaching time of departure. We will soon leave Yale, leave
New Haven. May we return to the unforgettable place in our dreams!
We feel the same way...We will most certainly miss you, but we will be happy knowing you are happy and comfortable in your own homes.
ReplyDeleteYes-- like Carrie says, we really will be sad when you are gone. It has been such a wonderful experience for us to get to know you!
